National Sheriffs' Association (NSA)

The National Sheriffs' Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising the level of professionalism among law enforcement leaders across the nation. Throughout its 63 years, the NSA has been involved in numerous programs to enable sheriffs, deputies, chiefs of police, and others in law enforcement to perform their jobs in the best possible manner and to better serve the people of their counties or jurisdictions. The NSA offers training information and recognition to sheriffs, deputies, and other policing officials throughout the nation and has forged cooperative relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement.

Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA)
The Bureau of Justice is a component of the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice. One of BJA's goals is to reduce crime, violence and drug abuse, especially by encouraging the active participation of community organizations and citizens.

Citizen Corps
